The workshop is designed to provide appraisers with the adequate training to enable them to make fair and objective assessments. On conclusion of the module, line managers will feel confident in carrying out effective appraisal interviews.

During the course, the following areas will be covered:

a. An overview of the BF(G) appraisal process.

b. Implementation of the process by the line manager, unit GLSU and the employee.

c. Identifying training requirements and objectives.

d. Review performance.

e. Dealing with the Appraisal interview.

f. Dealing with possible contentious interview situations.

g. Handling of completed report and data protection.

This Workshop is interactive.

Who should attend?

Those Line Managers with a responsibility for compiling appraisal reports, appraisal interviewing and identifying training opportunities for LEC’s. GLSU staff involved in appraisal report monitoring.
