Course Objectives :
The course is designed firstly to give participants an insight into the organisation and role of LEC Sp Svcs and then take a look at the various elements relating to the work of the GLSU Customer Services Clerk. The course aim is to give new staff more confidence and a better understanding of their role as well as updating and refreshing existing staff on current and new procedures/legislation.
During the course, the following areas will be covered:
a. Pay & allowances.
b. Maternity regulations.
c. Sickness monitoring and grievance procedures.
d. Customer liaison skills.
e. Data protection legislation.
f. Formulation and completion of employment contracts.
g. CTA II.
h. Standing Instructions – SI BA(G) 6200.
