We employ approximately 1300 civilian staff in schools across Germany . We employ Dependants (Spouses and children of HM Forces and UKBC personnel with a valid passport), DEL (Directly Employed Labour), staff are employed on behalf of SCE through the local Garrison Labour Support Units.
Our working hours can be very flexible and our posts in schools usually work term time which means that employees are paid throughout the year but are not expected to work during school holidays. Terms and conditions of service for staff working in SCE mirror those employed by Garrisons with the exception of Learning Support Assistants/Teaching Assistants who have separate terms and conditions.
